Skyline Timeline

This is one of those "Wow" spots in the Flinders & Outback. The 'Skyline Timeline' is a natural
geological feature where a series of different coloured sediment layers have been forced skyward into the vast
unending sky. These sediment layers represent a geological timeline layed down 100's of millions of years ago.
The youngest sediments are to the left of the picture going through to the oldest sediments to the
right.

The summit of 'Goat Hill' not only gives you the 'Timeline Skyline' but also gives you a
breathtaking 360 degree panorama as the ranges drop straight into the outback plains. From this single spot
you can view Dutchman Stern, Port Augusta, tip of Spencer Gulf, Lake Torrens, Wilpena Pound & the Willochra
Plain.
