Wilkatana Station is one of the few areas in the Flinders Ranges & Outback where you can actually see a series of the sedimentary layers making contact in the same spot. This 'Skyline Timeline' creates an awe inspiring view from the very Top of Goat Hill.

Wilkatana Station is only one of 3 known spots in the Flinders Ranges where you can see the underlying volcanics that pre date the overlying sedimentary layers that create the Flinders Ranges.

The above picture shows how the sedimentary layer was folded before forming into rock creating a massive anticline.
